Spring into September / Seasonal Beauty

September is well and truly here, and do you know what that means? Queensland is about to descend into a hot unruly mess over the course of the next 4 months, or so. It also means Spring is here welcoming, light & fresh makeup! I have compiled a few of my staples for the warmer weather, which I have been using constantly.

A glowy base is paramount to mimic that your skin is hydrated, when really it is thirsty, dehydrated, and scalier than the shed skin of a snake. MAC Strobe Cream is a staple for me – I love the smell, and the glow it gives me.

To emphasise the glow, I have been REALLY into my Sleek Highlighting Palette in Solstice. So much so, I have hit pan on the bottom two shades! I have found this is the best highlighter I own, and at under 20 dollars it is a STEAL!

I am one of those people who forget to apply blush, but when I do, I opt for a glowy, almost duochrome finish. tarte Amazonian Clay blush in Glisten is a gorgeous peachy pink, with a gold reflect in it – PERFECT for spring.

I usually keep the eyes pretty simple, as my eyelids are oily at the best of time, let alone in summer. I recently repurchased the Maybelline Color Tattoo in Bad to the Bronze, which is a perfect pat-all-over-the-lid shade, topped off with the Maybelline Colossal Big Shot mascara.

I change my lip colour constantly, considering I own a ridiculous amount of lip products, but my ideal spring colours are glossy, juicy shades. The L’Oreal Sexy Balms are my go-to formula as they are rich and hydrating. I have the shades Sheer 110 Can’t Sit With Us ( Pinky-Red) and my personal favourite Bold 201 Wasted. You can wear these all over the lips, or pat them in to create a stained, juicy effect.

What are your spring staples?! x
